Eagle Materials Inc

Eagle Materials Inc. (the “Company” or “EXP” which may be referred to as “we” or “us”) is a manufacturer of basic building materials including gypsum wallboard, cement, gypsum and non-gypsum paperboard and concrete and aggregates. We were founded in 1963 as a building materials subsidiary of Centex Corporation (“Centex”). We operated as a public company under the name Centex Construction Products, Inc. from April 1994 to January 30, 2004. Centex completed a tax free distribution of its shares to its shareholders on January 30, 2004 (the “Spin-off”), and, as a result, we are no longer affiliated with Centex. Today, our primary businesses are the manufacture and distribution of gypsum wallboard and the manufacture and sale of cement. Gypsum wallboard is distributed throughout the U.S. with particular emphasis in the geographic markets nearest to our production facilities. We sell cement throughout the western U.S.
