Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is a leading operator in the $1.0 trillion automotive retailing industry. We own and operate 139 franchises at 95 dealership locations and 30 collision centers as of February 28, 2006. We market and sell an extensive range of automotive products and services including new and used vehicles and related financing, vehicle maintenance and repair services, replacement parts, and warranty, insurance and extended service contracts. Our operations are primarily located in major metropolitan areas in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma and Texas. Prior to January 1, 2006, our retail network was organized into 13 regional dealership groups, or “platforms”.
